Trackback is a useful tool in the world of bloggers. Due to it being lately used to spread link and communicate with other blogs, It can be used to know what others say and think about your site. The link can be used to visit the post and personally validate the content on the other site referencing you before determining if it’s worthy linking with it.
They are like mails you never know who dropped it until you open, By visiting the link on the trackback comment, you will be able to know saw your and thought it was a nice resource to link with. It’s however wiser to check who linked to your content, this is due to the rampant misuse of the same feature.
Trackbacks are conversation between blogs and each keeps pointing out what the other said about you. This conversation can go on and on between relating blogs but who cares if it leaves a permanent link back to your site. Track backs comment about the whole post and not just part of it. You can learn how you impact by just following and studying how other publishers link with you and think about your posts.
Now, what can you learn from trackbacks and comments ?
Well, we both agree that comments and trackbacks have ability to spread your link to a wider audience. Trackbacks automatically append your link to mentioned blogs while in comments you have personally to visit friendly site and put the comment and link.
However spread the links become, the results are never instant and may take time before they start showing. What for sure remains is that any approved link will remain as long as the blog hosting it lives? All visitors who see it and like the content will click on it and move back to your blog.
Commenting and tracking back on famous related blog posts ensures that your link is visible to quality and visitors who are actually willing to visit your site for more information. Having your comments approved shows how other publishers see you and think of you associating with them, it’s like a pat on the back for good work being done.
A comment link is as strong as to whom it links to or from. Ensuring you carefully chose whom you trade your links with determines how successful you become in blogging. Associating with the great means you get serious and higher visitors. High targeted traffic got can then be latter converted to sales.
Hope you got a clearer picture of tracksbacks and its importance in blogosphere. So, its time for us to give a serious thought on it and use it wherever possible. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sullivan Pau is a web Consultant and Webmaster at Syspag Studios, A company offering web/blog design,web/blog hosting and SEO Outsourcing services. I totally agree that a Comment is as strong as a link, perhaps even more, depending on the case. Trackbacks is also a great form of compliment and one should use it more often.
Hi Abhishek, thanks for your comment. really appreciated. Well, use and misuse is just part of this web. Nothing seems to be perfect. As per what you said, the best thing you can do is to moderate comments and for trackbacks, I don't think that it can be a problem for anyone as long as it is a valuable linkback for your pages:)

Trackback and comments are no doubt very important in blogging...But don't you think there are many people who misuse it just to get a backlink...? :(
