Back from the break :)

Hey, I am back. Just wait..I will let you know more. But first of all, many thanks to Shiwangi for considering me for "Spread the Love" award. I feel so happy and honored to receive this award. Feels really good to be in her list of friends. Do take a moment to visit her blog. Yummy !!

Now as to continue this trend of love sharing, I would like to pass this award to some of my own good friends here in this blogosphere -> Sneha, Lazyking, Reetha, Jeanine, DiTesco, Paul, Hishaman, Rajesh, Abhishek, Jim, Elsy, EvilSquirrel and Bluesman. You people have been so nice to me. I feel blessed to know you all. Please take a moment to put this "Spread the Love" badge on your blog and pass it on to whomsoever you may like to :)

So friends, nothing to be surprised of. I know I was on a week off from blogging. But let me tell you very honestly, my parents had left just three days back. I am alone again :(

The reason they left so early -

  • They didn't like the local weather :(
  • They didn't like the local food :(
  • They didn't like the accommodation facilities :(
Infact, there was hardly anything which they liked. Must say, I've been to this place for a year and a half. I've been used to all these things now. I too don't like the local food here because the taste is not as good as what you would get with the North Indian dishes. Also, the food here is very costly. The only local food which I like here is - Vada Pav. Now, Vada Pav is eaten like anything here in Pune. This Indian breakfast Vada Pav is particularly popular in Maharashtra. You will find loads of Vada Pav stalls here in Pune. It is especially favorite among locals. You can also prepare it easily in your homes. Watch this Vada Pav Recipe Video

Now you must have come to know from my last post that we had planned a trip to Shirdi. Yes, we did go there. It was great trip.. to be honest. The day we left for Shirdi..Wow!! What a weather it was. So cool and so pleasing! And to add to it, just when we were very close to our destination, it started raining like cats and dogs. It was raining like anything and kept on raining till late night. Now this threw water on our plans to explore this holy city of Shirdi and adjacent places like Nashik. Other than visiting and worshiping the holy Samadhi of Sai Baba, we couldn't do much. We had planned a one night stay in Shirdi but unfortunately we couldn't just because it became all messy and quite unfordable. So, we had to leave just after attending the Evening Aarti. The evening Aarti starts around 7pm and goes on a for a hour at least.

Whatever may be, the important thing here was that we finally got a glimpse of Shri Sai Baba. We felt so nice and relaxed after that trip. It was one of the best ever trips for us in recent times.

Now as I told you in my last post, we had a week to enjoy ourselves. But unfortunately, we couldn't. My parents felt sick just after returning from Shirdi. Infact, I too fell sick. Reason - We got wet like anything during our Shirdi trip as I wrote earlier, it was raining like cats and dogs. We had not much protection and so we had to pay the price. We had made plans to visit many more places here like Lonavala, Khandala, etc.. but we had to give up just because the weather turned out be a big hindrance plus we were not in a mood as we all fell sick after our Shirdi trip.

So, that was all for the last week. Not the best one but still to be cherished forever. To let you know more, I have some videos to share which I am sure you will surely like it. Have a look -

The day we left for Shirdi, it was one of the most pleasant weathers in my opinion. But soon..it started raining like cats and dogs. Now, I had a cellphone with me. Seated inside a Taxi, which we had hired for Shirdi visit, I took out my cellphone and started shooting a video of the rains outside.

Now the video below is in continuation to my previous video. Showcases some natural beauties like mountains, rains, etc...

And last but not the least, this short video was shot inside an Ashram in Shirdi. This Ashram is located at a walking distance from the main Sai Baba Temple.

I hope you will enjoy these videos. Must say, I tried my best to get the videos and snaps of the main temple but it was strictly prohibited due to security reasons. Hope you understand. Do leave you comments :)
