Few days back, I had come up with a post on - How can you protect the Indian Economy. It was basically an appeal to those who were concerned about the present Indian Economy. The post highlighted issues which gripped Indian Economy. Also, we saw solutions for the same to revive the Economy.

Now, this guest post is in response to the same post which I posted.

Can you think about what will happen to Indian IT companies when Dollar and Indian Rupee conversion will reach 30 rupees? The funniest thing is that rupee conversion alone cannot be considered as a pointer towards economic development.

One suggestion in that post was to buy only products manufactured by WHOLLY INDIAN COMPANIES. This will never improve Indian economy. In this age of Globalization and free trade, I can show you 100 examples where foreign companies paying more to staff in similar position than Indian companies. Using Indian Company products will only create Giants like TATA, RELIANCE, etc. Their yearly profit will shoot up. They will grow more and more. One Reliance will become two and two reliance will become 4 and like that. Growth of such giants will create monopoly for many products. Hence, I would suggest a different way to deal this.

Encourage Microproductivity

What is Microproductivity?

Microproductivity is a term that refers to the production of articles, foods, or even ideas based upon their own need with in the living circle. For example: This term encourage producing food items for a day for a family by using the available resources.

Every family had to prepare their own food, using available food grains. Then, from where food grains we will get? Here I will explain little more. Take a list of items you are buying from outside market in a month. This list will contain small PIN to 10 kg rice. Now try to identify items which you can reduce buying. How will you reduce buying? Say, for example, “Lijjat Papad” or Haldiram “RASGULA”, If your mother, sister, elder son or grandmother available in home, ask them to prepare similar item for a week utilizing available resources. Definitely, they will resist. ALWAYS REMEMBER - MEMBERS REJECT ANY QUICK ORGANISATIONAL CHANGE. They will complain about their time. Yes, all the family members are busy. Busy of what, watching cricket? Or watching killer serials? Request them to avoid one Television show just to save 30 minutes. Another major category of Microproductivity is vegetables. Cultivating vegetable, that too in my home? Dude…. Where is the space?

On our last trip to China, we have seen many people growing vegetables instead of ORCHID plants in their flower pots. Nice idea, isn’t it? A small family with four members living in a small flat producing 1/3rd of the vegetables they require for a month in their own flat. Can you just believe this?

It is possible if you have a small balcony or a terrace to keep minimum 10 pots and half an hour to irrigate them. I saw Brinjal, Beans, Tomato, Ladiesfinger and Bitter Gourd in medium ‘POTS’ All these will help not only to reduce family budget but also to prevent us from taking Genetic Contaminated Food.

Microproductivity is a term with broader applications. Hopes that you can apply the sense of the term much more than what I expect.
