guest post by businessvartha
Blogging can be a great activity for those who really enjoy it. And for those who don't, well..they are most likely to give it up very soon. It can happen to anyone and it did happen to some of my friends recently.
I was much surprised when many of my fellow bloggers left blogging after spending some time in blogosphere writing articles, copying some articles, participating in social networking, trying to monetize blogs etc…
Recently we did a survey about many fellow bloggers regarding their absence for a long time. An email was sent to them asking about the reasons behind their inactivity. I will depict some of the reasons which we precipitate from their reply.
- Lack of time: Many bloggers feel that they can manage a blog easily by spending two hours a week. In the initial stage they may be successful but later time bites back when they had to post, comment back, participate in social networking and monetizing blog. When much hurdles raise in front of them, bloggers leave blogging for ever
Solution: Average spending of 2 hours per day can find solution for this. Try to manage maximum two blogs only and not more than that.
- Lack of Subject: Bloggers try to write about some hot topic in internet even though they are not the masters of that subject. After three or four posts, lack of subject will arise which will push them to copy some material from here and there. Copying material will break down PageRank and reduce visitors which will ultimately kill the blog.
Solution: Try to write about a subject in your brain which you are the master. Never try to go and write about a topic which you are hearing for first time. Find a subject of your own, then try to give more authentic information and various angle of view about that subject to your readers.
- Lack of Revenue: Most bloggers aim to generate huge income. They believe in participating referral programs than making a good post. Then bloggers add some PPP, PPC programs and cries when they see the first month income. They try few more months in trying to generate some income and after leave blogging for ever.
Solution: Bloggers should consider that everything available for blogging is free. If you start a business with zero investment, then don’t expect much more returns. There is limit of generating income from blogs, but you can make small income easily. Before start a blog, don’t keep the term monetizing as the prime factor. Money will come when you are a good blogger and with active participation.
- Lack of confidence: Language has become a big barrier to many bloggers. It is not essential that you had to write only in English. Most bloggers stop blogging when their visitors comment about the bad language style.
Solution: If you are not good in English, try your mother tongue as the main language. Almost all Blogging hosts support multiple languages.
- Lack of Visitors: Most bloggers face this problem because of multiple reasons. Everyone think that visitors will come automatically to their blog. When they see that only three or four visitors coming to their blog daily make them desperate. And finally they leave blogging.
Solution: Try to consider your readers as KING. Give them what they want and let them feel to come back to your blog. So it is important to select a subject that you can write original articles and then target the audience. Market it according to the targeted audience and build relations. Building relations means not only visiting a blog but start commenting on other blogs and comment back on those who comment you.
Do search engine optimization with the help of a good blogger. Never try to pay money to SEO companies. Instead of that, give some kliks and get it done by people around us. Active sincere participation in Social Networking also will bring more visitors.
Blogging is not everyone’s cup of tea. It is the Best Logically Original Group Gathering Information, Networks & Growth
Remember three ‘BE’ of blogging.
BE CONSISTENT
BE ORIGINAL
BE HELPFUL TO OTHERS

Happy New Year! Great advice!
I would also add that being passionate about content helps.
I agree about time constraints and working blogging into the schedule by allotting a couple hours a day to it. Someone can always find time for something they love to do.
You have provided some great ideas to help keep a blog from sinking.
Thanks for the great post.

This is so true many bloggers think that making money online is simple some people get lucky and make money in a short period of time unless you have a great idea which is original then you have to be patience and keep working at it

I'd agree on all four points. I gained and lost friends in blogging - I lost them not because we had misunderstandings - but just because they had left blogging due to one of the reasons above.
One of my blogger friends though, decided to leave blogging due to his aging eyesight.

Writing about what you enjoy or can add value is probably the number one key to keeping up with a blog. If your only concern is money, then you should probably keep your day job until you find the right niche for you online. Good information! And don't ever let anyone get you down on your English. Most native English speakers can't write half as well as those who speak/write English as a second language. ;)

I am so agree with all the reasons that you mentioned here especially the first one "Lack of time" :) I can relate to it, but for me any project or anything that you started if your heart really in to it, you really need to make way and find time for it. Also don't expect much visitors everyday to your blog, if you don't even visit them back when they visited you. :)

Your view is very appreciable Anne, its true that, English sometimes best in Nonenglish states..evnthough I have seen many bloggers not confident about their language..but i feel that have only secondary importance...as u said...

My sincere advice is that, don't get over addicted with PR, sometime it will go down, then go up..like this depending on the frequency of our writing and special SEo techniques. But keep ur blogging alive is much important...Happy blogging
