The picture above tells us the whole story. Yet another email which caught off my attention. Sent again by Greenpace India, this is yet another request to sign a petition for something which I wasn't aware of till I received this...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Aswani,
Junichi and Toru are people like us who love whales. They exposed corruption and the embezzlement of whale meat in the Japanese whaling industry. In retaliation, the former Japanese government is putting them on trial, where they face up to 10 years in prison.
All this for acting in the public interest and trying to save the whales. They're known as the Tokyo Two, and they deserve a fair trial. It is whaling that should be on trial, not the people who oppose it.
I've come to Japan to support them. Can you sign this petition to join Junichi and Toru’s fight to save the whales and urge the Japanese government to put whaling on trial, and not the people who oppose it?
http://www.greenpeace.org/india/save-the-whalesThe petition says: "I stand beside Junichi Sato and Toru Suzuki in their opposition to whaling near Antarctica. Their prosecution is politically motivated and designed to silence opposition. I call on the Japanese government to ensure that the 'Tokyo Two' receive a fair trial, and that the investigation into the whale meat embezzlement scandal is reopened."
This petition will be presented to the Japanese ambassador in Delhi.
The trial begins on Monday, so we need to act fast. Please forward this message to your friends and family to defend those who defend the whales.
Thanks a billion!

Thanks Reetha..btw, the url you posted here gives me the feeling that you are very sure about the end of facebook and twitter. I think it is not possible. Google Buzz is good but still with many flaws. Facebook and Twitter are the 2 trend setters in social media networking. These two cannot be beaten..though tough competition can be given to them ;)

I was at one time guilty of supporting the japanese whaling activities by tasting a piece of whale meat whilst on a business trip to Tokyo, it was more out of curiousity than anything, it didn't taste good or anything special to me then, just like eating a buffalo meat. Till today i still couldn't understand as to why the japanese people like to eat whale meat. I guess we need to understand why they like it in the first place before addressing the issue a bit further but then again the time taken for us to understand them may take too long a time and by the time we do know about it the whales may just become totally extinct. On this note i support yr noble cause to stop this madness once & for all. Btw do i get paid for supporting this? just kidding......... :)

Thank bro for supporting this cause. Well, I have seen whales in TV programs and shows but never saw them in real. Whatever may be, these people are doing a great job and they must be supported. btw, I will surely pay. Tell me, how much money do you need :-P

The list gets longer and longer aswani these causes get highlighted year in year out but the corrupted government of this world turn a blind eye to this and imprisoned the innocent why just because of greed
