Well, its been quite a long time I came out with any thing original. One of the reasons for this is that I am not feeling like blogging these days. Don't know why :( Its been rare with a guy like me who sees blogging as a passion. Probably it could be because of the weather here or being short of ideas..I would blame weather for the same ;) Short of ideas..that is rare with me. There is still so much to write and share with you people. Literally speaking, it never happens with me and I must hope that its occasional phenomenon that would go away surely in the times to come :D

Anyways, back to the basics. What fascinates me the most? Any guesses..?? Well, you got it right. I am fascinated by this blogging thing. Plus there is one more thing that I could associate with this passion. Making friends online..needless to say, I love to make friends especially in this online media. And over the years, I believe I have excelled in this area like anything. Making friends online and networking are the two most fundamental things that every blogger must do. You could say that I did it for the traffic thing. But to be very honest, traffic was never ever a problem for this blog. The only reason for making so many friends online was to share and gain something useful from fellow friends. Plus there has always been a burning desire in me to understand people, their thoughts and almost everything about them. This desire led me to go with my decision and with times, I kept on adding friends and no one refused..that is the best thing to happen with me.

Now, making friends online and getting them in your list of friends especially whom you don't know personally..is never easy. Making friends online is an art to me. It never was easy for me too. But still over the years..I have learned a lot and it has really worked out for me. Well, it could be one of the few things bothering you. How to get as many online friends as possible and what all things are to be kept in my mind before doing so. That's all very simple if you could follow some of these tips listed below :
  • When you have decided to add someone as a friend, make sure that you are going with your decision. Please do not give it a second thought. You are doing a good thing not a crime.
  • Whenever you request someone for a friendship, make sure that you do it in the most decent and polite manner. It is a must thing in case the person is a stranger to you and you want to add him as a friend. If you came to know about the person through a reference then please do include it in the friendship request. This is mostly applicable to social networking sites like facebook, orkut, etc...
  • Include a picture of yours in your social profile so that people can feel more comfortable in having a friendship of you. Picture should be originally yours and should be showcasing your face not the face of a cartoon or a movie character. Avoid using pics which are not related to you. It is more likely to create doubts in the minds of those willing to have a friendship with you.
  • Have a good description of yourself. Include as much things as possible about yourself. This in turn is most likely to get you friends especially those who will be most related to your field.
  • Develop a good communication skill. Yes, nothing works much faster than this. Your communication skill can determine your success in each and everything.
  • Let it be all simple. Yes, be simple with each and everything. It will fetch you more and more friends and very easily.
  • Be interesting. It has been a common observation from my side that people are more willing to be in touch with those who have something interesting about themselves. Either in the words they write or in a way they interact with others. Try to be master here and feel the difference.
  • One more interesting observation from me is that it is much more easier to befriend a girl or say a female. Usually, people from the opposite sex are much more inclined to this thing. Don't think anything against it. Give it a try ;)
  • Last but not the least, be different, have that uniqueness in yourself. Learn to interact with each and everyone. This will get you more popular in the social media and getting friends will be like an icing on the cake for you.
So, these were some of the tips which I felt like sharing with you people. Not sure, how many of you would agree to these but certainly..it all has helped me a lot. With social media on upsurge, I believe that these tips will help you a lot in gaining more and more friends which in turn will strengthen your network and surely...will get you popular in no time.
