Wonderful post Aswani!! Your really a great blogger, if I make enough money through blogging before I leave my college then surely I will never work for anyone, generating passive income was my aim, but now I want to keep growing my business and try to be popular.

Hi Aswani, Very interesting and thought provoking post.

Fortunately for me, I don't need to make the decision of leaving my 9-5 job. I've paid my dues by working full time for over 40 years and now I'm retired. Now I'm able to blog without any pressure and that makes it very enjoyable...even a little profitable at times. ;)

For those who want to make a career as a blogger, it can be done but it's extremely difficult. There are less than 5% that make any significant income as bloggers. I'm not saying it can't be done but it takes loads of hard work, the proper mindset, persistence, patience and the ability to press on when the going gets tough.

I think you have what it takes so never give up. Do it part time until you reach a level of consistent income that you are comfortable with. Then you can tell your boss to take the job and #&*^@$ :-D

If you want a career in blogging then you need to have an attitude of NEVER GIVE UP.

1. Can blogging really be a better career choice ? Yes, if you work on daily basis.

2. Blogging can be a great source of passive income but is it big enough to make me think it as a great career opportunity ? Yes, if you build multiple blogs, on different profitable niches.

3. Can blogging give me consistent results with the income generated online? Yes, a lot of blogger like Jhon Chow, Darren Rows are the real proof that that is possible.

4. Can blogging give me a growth in my life? The better improvement in your life is that blogging give you the freedom.

5. Is it necessary to be a full time blogger to reap the financial benefits ? If you want to make money quickly my answer is yes.

6. Professional Blogging or Personal Blogging - Can I do it with anyone ? In my view, you can make money with both.

Get real bro' & stick to your" 9 to 5" routine. That's the advice i would like to give to young people. As you move on in life, you've got bills and more bills to pay and maybe a few mouths to feed. I'm in complete agreement with Robert above. And if you still have some bit of time to spare, then you may engage yourself in blogging for money or whatever you call it....as a secondary income on a part time basis. But if money is not the issue since you may be in line to inherit somebody's millions, then just don't turn up in yr usual "9 to 5" office and just blog yourself away.....i'm almost thinking of embarking upon that journey myself but then again i haven't heard anything about my inheritance as yet....so it's blogging on a pastime basis only for me...

Blogging is where I find myself more committed but then its true that what we enjoy may not always be profiting as compared to what we are sure to get from a routine job. Exceptions do prevail *DONT_KNOW*

never did consider blogging as a career and thus have not thought of it as a choice. I fortunately do not have a 9 - 5 job as I manage my own business and this pretty much gives me the flexibility I need. In my opinion, unless you are really in to blogging for money, I seriously believe that you should make this as an EXTRA form of earning income and not replace it with your day job (if you have one, lol). Great set of questions. In the beginning of my blogging I too ask myself similar question but in my case I have to do this as I don't have much option. You know when you don't have much option, you will do something better. I'm trying to do same, trying to be a better blogger everyday.
