It is not compulsory for us but still it shouldn’t be avoided at any cost. We all know that blogs are highly organized social groups where people like to gather, read and share their thoughts on topics of interest. This topic of interest gets varied from one blog to another where it may finally depend upon the niche you are blogging upon. The thoughts shared on one’s blog are mostly public as most of these thoughts are posted as comments which is visible to you as well as others who have been visiting your blog.

This is generally not a good idea as I personally feel that comments are good to be made public as long as they are related to my posts or say, my blog. But at times, you feel like keeping them private especially when they look more or less like an inquiry for something. This may be related to anything like inquiry for guest posting, link exchange, blog advertisement, etc... No doubt, we bloggers do wait for such inquiries to arrive as there seems to be a common feeling amongst us which makes us believe that our blogging efforts are paying in right manner if and only if it leads to our penultimate objective..which I guess is online money making for most of us.

Now, we know that we cannot let each and everything go public on our blogs and certainly, we don’t want others to feel down because of the same. What we can do in such cases is very simple. Why not have an inquiry form to let others post their inquiries or anything they wish to if they hesitate to do so through blog comments? Yes, I strongly feel that we bloggers should have such inquiry forms on our blogs as these inquiry forms do provide private but much better form of interaction with our visitors. For anyone who is interested in private conversation, having an inquiry form then becomes must. You never know who may be up there with a request for link exchange, buy text links, blog advertising or buy any product in case your blog is into ecommerce activities. I doubt how many of us can allow such requests to come in blog comments and be faced with a dilemma - should I publish these comments or simply delete it ? In most cases, we have to delete it. Isn’t it?

Well...I too was confronted with the same issue where people used to inquire for each and everything through blog comments. Now having been moved to the niche blogging, I have made sure that for any private inquiry, I should get it through my inquiry form which is placed on top navigation menu of the site under - GUEST POSTING. Now when you click on it, you are taken to a page hosted on Google Docs. Yes, you got it right. Instead of having this form on one of my blog pages, I decided to create it on Google Docs and believe me, it has worked out like charm.

The very first and the most important reason to have this form hosted on Google Docs is that I am getting highly reliable, robust and a completely free service from Google. Each and every inquiry I receive is very well presented and most importantly, I get notified instantly whenever any inquiry is made. Couldn't have hoped for anything better! Honestly speaking, I am in all praise for Google for whatever it does and this Google Docs is just exceptional, best alternative in case you don’t like Microsoft Office or any other paid office software. Other than having an inquiry form hosted on Google Docs, I am using one more service for the same. The service goes by the name of Emailmeform. Emailmeform gives you a featured packed alternative to Google Docs but you have to pay for it. Incase you don’t want to pay anything, you can still go with the free version with limited features. I am using the free one and it does looks enough to me.

Surely you must have gained a lot from this post. Having an inquiry form for any blogger is a must. It really helps you in maintaining good and long-lasting relationship with your visitors and hopefully your potential customers. Unlike blogs which have been hosted on wordpress, it really isn’t so easy to find any other better service which gets your contact or enquiry form up and running like charm. I must say, I did get the same from Google Docs and ofcourse, Emailmeform too has been quite remarkable. I am quite satisfied with both these services and therefore, to all my fellow bloggers who have been struggling with enquiry forms, do take out some of your time to check out these services. I bet you won’t be disappointed !
