It
is almost an end to this year now. Still then, I haven’t been in a
position to go with my decision to have my blog shifted to Wordpress. No doubt,
Blogger has been great for me but anyways, Wordpress is what people have
been preferring the most. This again is very much clear from what I am
going to showcase here below. Below is an inforgraphic, a very creative
one with some very amazing and interesting stats on Wordpress.

| Wordpress Stats |
Also, below are some more amazing stats on Wordpress -
- 14.7% of the top 1 million websites in the world are now powered by WordPress (one year ago it was 8.5% only)
- 1 in every 5 new domains created in US are running on WordPress (for new sites its easy to get started with WordPress – design, functionality and cost wise)
- 500 Thousand downloads in the first 48hrs of the 3.2 release (its not only how big the community is but almost everybody is active as well)
- 200 Million plugin downloads (how actively and beautifuly the community is contributing – proven by the use of the plugins)
- 92% of wordpress users now use it as a CMS (most important stats as per my understanding as I have noticed over years many a people using wordpress without harnessing any of its powers which is a shame)
- WordPress Maintains a zen like process of core development allowing it to be adaptive, flexible and open to extension (why we all love wordpress – its the only platform which is flexible and well documented for us to mould and develop further upon to make it even more stronger and beautiful as per the reuqirement of individual projects)
Also, here is another fabulous presentation by Matt Mullenweg who takes you to a historical journey of Wordpress -
Hope you found it all useful and informative...Let me know your thoughts...!

Wordpress in indeed one fine piece of software. The database has really minimalistic approach and tables are simple. Even customizing is extremely easy and it makes for a lot of fun.
Add to it , it is powerful, fast, userfriendly and open source. I think this software if commercial would not have cost anything lesser than 200$ per site.
Open source is an awesome system and I love it for some excellent software development

Great Infographic Aswani, WordPress is a great content management system to consider for any business website. It can improve the user’s online experience and solve any needs for website control. I use Wordpress in all of my websites because it's very flexible and I can customize the settings to meet my business needs as there currently are 10,221 free plugins ready for downloading and implementing into my WordPress website.
