Right, we are on the part II of this article. In our previous article, we dealt with importance of Keyword analysis and also the Search Engine Competition. Now in this post, we are going to deal with How to Survive Panda as well as best strategies to stay away from Panda.
Google Panda is one of the most famous words around this virtual web-world that most of the web masters really fear about. It was new algorithm enhancement practice by Google in order to kick off the Article Directories or Spun Articles or Copied Article or Value Less articles. But, everything happened in converse, like Top sites like Mashable, TechCrunch, Gizmodo, Lanol, PCWorld, FoneArena, etc., sites were hit really hard with Google Panda, of course they have managed to recover really fast with their influence and experience that they are having in this field. What about the Amateur sites?

Because of huge increase in Search Engine competition and also the unstoppable power of Dark SEO practises making Google or any other Search Engine providers to take these elements really seriously. I’ll explain you an interesting thing happened to me over here. I run good deal of sites, while when Google 1.0 version was rolled-out none of my sites were affected, as I mostly used White Hat SEO techniques. Unfortunately, due to busy schedule I’ve given 2 of my sites to 2 different SEO firms to handle them. Those 2 sites are based on WSJ Wine and Virgin Wine coupons as well as discount providing sites. While one of the 2 SEO firm used the black-hat SEO practises, while other one used the white Hat SEO practices. For a while both seemed to be working really smoothly for me, but once Google Panda 2.0 was rolled out, both the sites which I’ve outsourced were hit really badly by Panda.
You might ask me regarding this that why the site that which used White-Hat practises was hit. The reason is simple, that SEO Firm though managed to provide white hat services was still using the 2005 – 07 strategies like relying on Article Directories, Submitting site to Directories, Web 2.0 Linking and few links from Forums as well. While on the other hand SEO firm which used Black Hat practise was hit normally because of links which I’ve received from spun content, you know these days Google and other Search Engine Guys are really strict and they are affording to even manually check the content of the sites. So, never ever try to get links by using Spun Content, it kicks your site to the Hell.
Right, here are the Advanced SEO Techniques that you must use in order to survive Panda.
- Try to Get Links from Blogs via Guest Posting + Commenting (adds only 0.002% value for your link which is merely negligible per comment) + Buying Links in the blog Roll
- Focus more on FB like + Twitter (RTs) + Google Plus (G+ is the best way to increase your SE rankings for sure, you can read an article about the G+ analysis at SEOMoz)
- Rely on some other Do-Follow Social Bookmarking sites
- Focus only on quality Article Directories like Ezine, SooperArticles, and get links from Squidoo as well as Hub-Pages.
- Forum Link value these days is negligible, but still it’s adding little value.
- Rely on Yahoo Answers more
- Don’t submit your blog to Directories less than Page Rank – 3.
- Try to get Web 2.0 links + Focus more on EDU + Gov links (which is almost impossible to get links)
- Get Links from Youtube, Flickr, etc sites helps you even to build authority for your sites.
- Don’t try to get links from Profile Links, or any other SEO Firms who offer you’re the link Building Services, though they seems to be attractive, these will affect your site in long term basis.
- Try to get links from Page Rank 0 sites as well, and also manage balance between Dofollow and Nofollow links.
Following all these 11 practices your site will definitely rank absolutely well and I can assure you following these practices will help you and protect you even with the latest Search Engine Amendments.

Frankly now that my site was penalized by the new Google Panda upgrades It looks like any SEO rules are no longer valid. The tips above are all great but reading forum and other blog I think we have to wait until Google do not give us more info about. There are whispers of another Panda update coming around Halloween. Just wait and see.
