Must See Video !
Yes, this is the most recent buzz from the blogger team. As per the latest announcement, Blogger is going to have a completely new user interface with few more additional changes to enhance its features. The new design is likely to be more cleaner as well as more modern. And to add to it, it shall make use of Google Web Toolkit, to offer the latest in web technologies. Along with the new dashboard, there will be tweaks for search, improved tags and inbuilt Google Analytics. Plus Google Blogger is also about to come up with a new content discovery features which will let you uncover interesting and related content based on the topics of the blog you’re currently reading. Well, this is not for the first time. Google has been rolling out changes in the Blogger ever since it was launched. Last year, it came out the template designer which provided users of the same, an option to edit blogger templates. It was hailed as one of the most important additions to Blogger as it enables bloggers to customize the look and layout of one’s blog. The addition of template designer was followed up with web fonts, another valuable addition to Blogger using which now blog designers could create unique designs for their blogs. These two major changes were brought up in 2010 and now in 2011, hopefully there are more innovations to come.
Now, a question to be raised – Why has Google gone for these new updates to Blogger? Well, it is all for a very simple reason. Google had to come up with these new updates to scratch with top performing competitors WordPress and Tumblr. But there is an other side to this story if you look at Blogger’s growth in 2010. In 2010, Blogger cemented itself as one of the largest blogging platforms and the sixth largest website in the world, according to Alexa. Blogger users published more than half a billion blog posts, which were read by more than 400 million active readers across the globe. 2010 was the year in which Blogger introduced template designer, real-time stats, comments spam filtering, mobile templates, web fonts, and more. And to top it all off, it was dubbed as one of the most reliable blogging service around. So, these stats do tell a lot and even if, WordPress is the most sought after blogging platforms, to say that, Blogger is a loser…would be quite foolish. Though not as robust as wordpress, Blogger still rules and this is the reason why I am still blogging on the same
Anyways, 2011 looks very promising for the users of Google Blogger as we have seen it above.
