Latest OxygenOS Updates Rolling Out for the OnePlus 7 & 7T Series

Anyways, let's get back to the main news. 

As per the latest update, OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7T, and OnePlus 7T Pro have started receiving the OxygenOS 10.3.4 update in India and other international locations.

Update 10.0.7 will follow soon for the European Union (EU) Nations.

What are the benefits of the latest OxygenOS updates?

The major changes in the latest OxygenOS updates are as follows:

  • The merger of the July 2020 Android Security Patch Level (SPL) with Aug 2020 SPL
  • Addition of the system app for OnePlus Buds support (the buds are the company's first TWS earbuds with amazing sound clarity at a decent price. Works best with OnePlus smartphones with Dolby Atmos support.
  • Addition of new ambient display clock styles (assumed to be the same ones added in an earlier open beta update)
  • Addition of chromatic effect option in reading mode (the effect applies a sepia filter to the screen for a more calming reading experience)
  • Added support for Bluetooth hearing aids under the ASHA agreement. You can more about ASHA here -

    • Newly adapted OnePlus Buds, easier to take advantage of wireless connection
    • Provided a variety of clock styles for you. You can customize on your own. (Go to Settings>Customization>Clock style)
    • Fixed the issue that double-tap could not wake up the screen in some settings
    • Updated Android security patch to 2020.07
  • Reading mode
    • Added the Chromatic effect option to adapt colour range and saturation intelligently for a better reading experience (Settings - Display - Reading mode - Turn on reading mode - Chromatic effect)
  • Bluetooth
    • It has adapted to Bluetooth hearing aid app connection under the Android 10 Audio Streaming for Hearing Aid (ASHA) Agreement
  • Network
    • Fixed the wrong display of names of inserted SIM cards from different carriers
